General FAQ’s
Where are you based?
We are based in Brickell, the heart of Miami, Florida.
We serve the entire South Florida region and popular Caribbean wedding destination Jamaica. We provide services for but not limited to Islamorada, Key West, West Palm Beach, Naples, Jupiter, Fort Lauderdale, Weston, Miami and Beyond.
What kind of photography do you specialize in?
We specialize in photojournalistic wedding photography and engagements.
How would you describe your style of photography?
Our style is best described as photojournalistic. Whats does this mean? We create authentic, candid, and emotional images. Our priority is to capture real moments. The majority of the day is shot very unobtrusively. We enjoy capturing our couples and their family and friends laughing, crying(happy tears), and simply authentically enjoying all of the moments that transpire during a wedding day. Rather than turning your wedding day into a photoshoot, we instead want you to enjoy the day while we capture all the important moments for you.
During the course of the day (usually just after the ceremony), time is always allotted for the bride and groom, bridal party, and family formals and posed photos. We also strive to make this part of the day as painless and as fun as possible.
Wedding FAQ’s
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK YOU?
For Weddings: It is important to book something as important as you wedding photographer as early as possible! It is especially important to ensure that you are able to obtain the photographer that you really want, before someone else reserves your wedding date. We, as well as many wedding photographers, are booked as much as 24 months in advance. Certainly you should have your photographer booked at least 10 months prior. Engagement Session/Other: In order to provide exceptional service to my clients, I offer a very limited number of sessions each month. Engagement sessions should be booked typically 2+ months in advance, however we do our best to accommodate more immediate requests. We want to get you scheduled in time so you are able to share your beautiful engagement pictures for your save the dates, wedding websites, etc. Check our availability by contacting us here or via email at info@stellaimagephotography.com
CAN YOU HOLD MY WEDDING DATE FOR ME?
We absolutely can! We require a non refundable deposit of $800 to reserve your big day!
DO I NEED TO PAY THE FULL AMOUNT AT ONCE? DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
You do not have to pay the full amount at once. After you’ve reserved your big day with the deposit of $800, the remaining balance is broken down into two payments due 90 days before wedding day, and 21 days before wedding day.
DO YOU CHARGE ADDITIONAL FOR TRAVEL EXPENSES?
All expenses associated with your wedding photography are included in the cost of the package.
DO YOU EDIT OUR WEDDING PICTURES?
Every image will receive basic enhancements and color correction to ensure the best possible quality of all images. Additionally, we personally select the very best images for that extra special touch, for framing, sending out to friends and family, etc.
HOW MANY PICTURES CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE?
We do not limit ourselves or your wedding day to any certain number of pictures. It really depends on the length of the day, how many events you have planned, how many guests, etc. Typically we deliver about 100+ images per hour. For a full wedding day, you can expect between 300-800+ pictures.
HOW LARGE ARE THE IMAGES THAT I WILL RECEIVE?
You will receive high resolution digital negatives approximately 1800×1200 in size. This size is large enough for you to make beautiful prints up to 8×12. We can also print images up to 24×36 in size for you via our preferred printing lab, that are shipped right to your door. The images are shared via a downloadable web gallery hosted for up to 3 months.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE BEFORE WE RECEIVE ALL OF OUR WEDDING DAY IMAGES?
Turn around time for wedding photos is 5-6 weeks. You can also request a sneak peak to receive a select few sooner.
CAN WE MEET IN PERSON BEFORE MY WEDDING DAY?
Of course, we would love to meet you! Before the big day, we like to meet with our clients to chat about your wedding. This gives us the chance to get to know one another a bit, discuss important information, and to gush about your wedding details! We can also speak via phone or Skype.

DO YOU OFFER ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS?
Yes we do! In fact, an engagement session may be included in the cost of your wedding photography *package!
What does an engagement session consist of?

What should we wear?
An engagement session is the perfect excuse to go shopping 🙂 🙂 You may choose to wear what ever you like, feel comfortable, and look good in! We really love “formal” engagement sessions. They really add that wow factor! A casual fun session can be equally awesome. We encourage you to do some Pinterest “research” on what kind of wardrobe and scenery would suit you best!
Professional hair/makeup?
Hiring a professional hair and makeup artist is strongly recommended. Professionals know exactly how to highlight and contour your features and know what looks best on camera. If you do your makeup yourself, use a bit more foundation than normal and blend well.
When can we expect to our engagement session photos? Can we have them in time to display at our wedding?
Because many couples love to display their recent engagement session photos on the day of the wedding for friends and family to see, they are given extra priority to be ready in time for the wedding. You can expect your engagement session photos to be fully edited and ready for display within 4-6 weeks after shoot.
When should we do our engagement session?
Your engagement session can be organized up to 5 weeks before the wedding. If you prefer a “Just Married” or “Trash The Dress” shoot after the wedding, this option is also available to you.
Where will my engagement shoot be?
The location and style of your engagement shoot is something we will discuss, share ideas, and collaborate. Shoots can vary from an easy breezy beach style shoot during the day, to a more sexy sunset romantic style. This all depends ultimately on what you want from your session, and what style of images you want to create.
How many pictures do we get from our engagement session?
After your engagement session, you will typically receive 50-75 final images.

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I shoot with two(2) Nikon D810’s and one(1) Nikon D750. These cameras are the highest quality professional cameras on the market today. Additionally we only shoot with highest quality Nikkor Lens to match. We love using natural light, however we also travel with speed lights for times natural light is not available.
Pricing/Fees
Deposit – $800 to reserve your wedding date
Most Basic Photo Package – Starts at $1695
Stand-alone Hourly Rate – $350 per hour
Additional Time for Package – $350 per hour
Travel Fee – $175 (applies to weddings in Monroe County, including Key Largo, Islamorada, and Key West)
Engagement Session – $395-$495
